Below some pictures of the party night following the VW classic rally from Bangkok to Pattaya. Due to time constrains ( preparation for the Samui regatta) we couldn't drive the rally on Saturday, but were present on the party. We did participate in the charty drive to the old folks home on Sunday, to which I made a generous donation  ( you never know when it is your time, so it seemed a good investement).Pictures of the drive can be seen by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.
One of my future plans, restoring a splitty barndoor van. When is this going to happen?? Nobody knows!!!!!
Admiring looks for my car were in abundance
We choose a quite table at the back of the party venue, to overlook silently what was going on. How wrong we were by thinking it would be a quite private evening!!!
I still don't understand why, but suddenly the table next to us ( we were devided in groups for this game) started shouting they needed my belt, which was pulled from my shorts by Da. To make my amasment even bigger we won a prize, a coupon to have the car cleaned,.........in Bangkok!!
Not only on the water are we catching prizes, also on the road ( eh, I think it was the size of my belt actually that won us the prize???)
Let's raise a glass ( Jack Daniels with a tough of coke) to our prize.
Being the only "falang" in the room, and having won a prize, it didn't took long before I was notoced and called to the stage. There was a general request for me to sing a song. Obvious nobody was aware of my singing talent. I explained that if I would sing something, the room would be evacuated, and surely this wasn't the intention of the organizers.
Instead of singing we had a little "talk-show" to everybody's amusement. Suddenly I could speak thai fluently ( at least I thaught so) and had the room screaming with laughter!? Never knew I had it in me, or was it MR. Jack Dan.....
