Over the first weekend of April 2007, we did a 3-day trip to koh Samet, with a bit of night spinnaker sailing. This was also the first big test for Som-Ying, the latest crew member, our auto-pilot. She passed the test gloriously...
On Saturday we held a beach BBQ, on one of the small islands north of Samet, in perfect suroundings.
After Sunday morning breakfast we left Samet island group back to OMYC. Most of the part from Samet to Sattahip was done under sail and motor, with Som-Ying at the helm. Past the Navy base of Sattahip we were able to fly the big red one, masthead assymetrical kite, and clocked 11 knots on the log. Unfortunately not for long because the wind changed direction and dropped.
All in all an other succesfull trip.
Beautifull passage from OMYC to Koh Samet, sun set and night sailing under spinnaker
