Always an exciting moment, the first launch, but she floated nicely. This ended an era of dreaming, sweating, planning, spending and frustration. It started an era of....more dreams, more sweat, more spending and more frustrations. It makes you wonder.........

And safely moored after launch!

Above you see a series of pictures of the interior before the modifications. Extensive use of teak liners, gives a beautifull finish but makes a heavy boat. Also the interior is a bit cramped for the Thai climate so it did get quite hot inside.

The modifications included adding a sugar scoop to the transom

Fairing an re-shaping the bulb of the keel

Repairing a crack in the centerline in front of the keelbox and reinforcing the mast support

Another modification is the fixed bowsprit. This will bring the IRC handicap down.

The new Thairaver being weighted for IRC certification.
